Answer 1 :
We don't have a Cintas here that I know of. The closest thing we have to do that a place called Crazy Shirts. Rental property here goes for around $1500-$1800 for a one bedroom. $1000-$1200 for a studio. Add utilities of around $200/month. Email me if you need more info.

About What kind of attire do people wear to work in Honolulu

What kind of attire do people wear to work in Honolulu?
Do most business professionals wear shirts, ties, pants, etc. like any other city in the country? I'm sure things may be a little more lax, but I'm assuming that most business professionals have to wear the standard appropriate clothing year round. It seems like the weather is fairly constant throughout the year. How hot does it get? Would it be any more uncomfortable to have to wear pants year round than anywhere else? I live in NYC and will be moving. I'm used to wearing pants during out summers which are hot and humid and its tolerable. I'll be going to graduate school and then working in HI, so most likely I'll wear pants to work/class everyday. Opinions? By the way, I'll wear pants to class because I have tattoos on my legs, that I don't really want showing while at school.

Answer 1 :
Dressy pants and the typical "aloha" shirt are considered to be normal business attire.
Answer 2 :
The majority of businesses have the same dress requirements as the ones on the mainland. Temperatures in Hawaii usually stay in the 70's to 80's year round in most parts.
Answer 3 :
Slacks, like Dockers are good. For shirts, usually an aloha shirt or a short-sleeved button down. Depending on your office or school, polo style shirts are okay, too. Below are two vendors of aloha wear here in Hawaii. Reyns' items are nice, usually muted colors. Hilo Hattie is usually a bit brighter, but some of the designs are a little more fun. Enjoy the classes!
Answer 4 :
The only people who wear coats & ties are attorneys & the local newscasters. I am a nurse & when we see a doctor in a coat & tie, it means either that they are going to court or onto one of the local morning news programs. Nice slacks and an aloha shirt or polo type shirt are almost always acceptable.
Answer 5 :
I occasionally see sport jackets or suits and dress shirts with ties in the business district, but you always assume these people are attorneys. The court room is the only place where that seems to me the norm. We had "Casual Fridays" long before the phrase was coined. Nice aloha shirts with dress slacks are pretty much the standard for most men. I suggest you take a day and sit in Tamarind Square during lunch time. This is in the heart of the downtown business district, and you can people watch to get a feel for what is acceptable.

Answer 1 :
GPS, the G is for Global. so I'm guessing yes.
Answer 2 :
It depends on what maps are supported by/loaded into your GPS. We had a Garmin (it was stolen here on Oahu) and it worked fine in Hawaii.
Answer 3 :
It would probably work here, but beware, sometimes they can be a little screwy on an island. Some may be programmed to just take you the most direct route from point "A" to point "B", and you would be surprised the way they take you. Check with your rental car company...most already have them installed.
Answer 4 :
GPS works fine here. It's a target for thieves, so be careful to hide it after you park.
Answer 5 :
yeah, garmin is awesome
Answer 6 :
It should. I know that when we bring our GPS units to the mainland they seem to work fine. Good luck and happy travels!
Answer 7 :
Yes, it will work in Hawaii. It will work anywhere in the USA in all 50 states. Thats why most truck drivers use GPS when they need to find there way around. So yes it will work in hawaii.

Answer 1 :
You have to be 15 to get a worker's permit here, so legal work is not an option (unless you want to go do farm work). You can work under the table for a food place, or deliver papers, or something like that.
