Can you live in Kona, Hawai'i and work in Honolulu?
If so how would you travel from island to island?

Answer 1 :
I think you'd have to take a plane (ticket costs about $160 round-trip). There was going to be a superferry that went between Honolulu and Kona, but that hasn't happened yet.
Answer 2 :
Well, if you are really rich and need to go to the office about once week, that might work. Traveling between islands involves flights (expensive, time consuming), and is not exactly a commute for regular folks. This might work for you if you are a film star, rock idol, or other gazillionaire. Other than that, not so much.
Answer 3 :
Not realistically on a daily basis. It's about a 30-45 minute flight between the two, not including your time getting to the airport and waiting for your flight. It might work if you didn't physically need to be in Honolulu daily, and otherwise you'd reaaaally have to get a good system down with transport and everything -- likely including something like your own limo driver. Anyway, generally speaking, no, you can't really live in Kona and pursue regular, daily work in Honolulu.
